So it's time for a polite round of golf applause for the producers at SBS, who decided to dedicate a show to a more critical engagement with the music copyright/downloading debate. Not overwhelmingly more, but we can't expect too much from the old televisual world. Nonetheless, I still think Insight is amongst the best in the world for a one-hour, one-issue intelligent show, and part of the credit really must go to Jenny Brockie, who hosts the show like a velvet maestro (with iron fists, natch). I appear form the end of part 1, but really get to say a thing or two about music, downloading, and new economic models for music distribution in the second part... hope you find something interesting in it.
