Adult behaviour in conversation: Saturday 24th Feb, Duxton Ballroom

Sun 18 Feb 2007

I'm off to Perth this week for the Words and Ideas program of the Perth Festival. I'm doing a session of 'Adult Behaviour' with author Rebecca Huntley, who wrote World According to Y (see blurb below). I'm also chairing a few others with the likes of Charles Landry (author of the superb Art of City Making) and Niall Lucy and Steve Mickler, who wrote War on Democracy. Come along and say hello if you're on the west-side.

ADULT BEHAVIOUR
Saturday, Feb 24th, 11.30am in the Duxton Ballroom.
What does it mean to be an adult in today's society? With Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y vastly different in the way they approach work, play, relationships and sex, is it time to redefine traditional stereotypes of adulthood?

Join Kate Crawford, author of Adult Themes: Rewriting the Rules of Adulthood, and Rebecca Huntley, author of The World According to Y: Inside the new adult generation, for a discussion exploring the changing conventions of adulthood and a growing trend away from the traditions of marriage and a mortgage to new models of friendship, relationships and family.
