So if you're up at 8am tomorrow, I'll be on Radio National discussing the upcoming 'future of the nation' 2020 summit devised by Kevin Rudd. It's on the excellent Fran Kelly's show, and she has invited three women to give their perpectives on what ideas are important for Australia's development in the next decade or so. I'm naturally interested in offering some of the research that I did for Adult Themes: the need to rethink housing policy, to develop a more innovative arts funding system, and a more complex understanding of the digital economy. As B(if)tek's second album was also called 2020, I'm tempted to make a few 'soundtrack to the future' references. But I promise I'll do my best to resist.
